Frankenstein and Charlie Brown Coming To Old Stone House This Summer
Last week we gave you the heads up about the announced lineup for Celebrate Brooklyn. If you're just as excited about live outdoor theater, Piper Theatre Productions have now announced their schedule for performances at the Old Stone House this summer.
Last year's Xanadu was a huge hit, and this season kicks off with their most daring project to date; an adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, which utilizes live music and a series of six original rear-projected short films as a backdrop to the live action. July 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20 at 8:30PM
If you’re looking for something a bit more kid-friendly, scoot on over to the park for Piper’s production of the Tony Award winning You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown. Debuting Off-Broadway in 1967 and revived on Broadway for the 1999 season, this show captures all the whimsy of the classic cartoon with memorable songs and all the engaging characters you remember from childhood. July 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20 at 7PM
So mark your calendars, and get ready to load your Coleman full of beer, order up some Zito’s and head to the park for free theatre under the stars this summer. You won’t be disappointed!
