FIPS CARES: TLF Park Slope Style?
FIPS cares! (really...we do).
Ok everyone, listen up! We have some more FIPS CARES community assignments. Why the fuck should you care? Cause maybe we'll be helping your ass next (also, this one is really good).
In honor of Valentine's Day, we bring you Leah; an insanely adorable Park Sloper who's lookin' to get lucky in love.
I'm not putting up her pic, but trust me when I say she's super cute (and NO that's not her above...ever hear of google image search? Type in "mystery woman" and that's the sorta shit you get). Anyway, we need to find her some dudes...pronto.
So here's how this is gonna work:
* You read all about Leah below
* If you think she sounds as rad as we do, send us an email at effedinparkslope at gmail dot com (pls make sure to include your pic). Also, I'm not going to tell you what to include in said email, but use your friggin brain people...give us some scoop on you or your unknowing friends and make yourself stand out.
* We will forward all correspondence to Leah (and I'm guessing she'll be more than happy to send along her pic when/if she corresponds with anyone).
* She will go on a few dates with the best picks and report back
* We'll all be invited to the happy couple's wedding.
K, so here's Leah:
About me:
I am 25 years old and have lived in Park Slope for two and a half years. I grew up in a small rural town outside of Philly, went to Ithaca College in upstate NY, lived in Hawaii for a year after graduating, then moved to NYC. I love it here and although I sometimes think about moving to sunny California, I can't imagine leaving New York and am guessing I'll be here for a very long time.
I work at a single health charity in Manhattan as a fundraising manager.
My ideal guy:
No younger than 25 and no older than 32, someone who is funny, well educated, thoughtful, and likes to eat and drink. I love talking about politics and hope to find someone who is engaged in the world around them and enjoys talking about it. I love beer and want to date someone who does too, although that isn't a requirement. I don't know many people that don't listen to music, but its worth saying that I love music and am looking for someone that really digs it too. I am looking for someone who is attractive, but in terms of specific physical requirements, I don't have any. In terms of personality traits, I'd say: outgoing, adventurous, easygoing, self-aware and, of course, lots of fun. I don't want to date an asshole, other than that I cant really think of any deal-breaking personality traits!
Chocolate or Vanilla?
Either
Describe your best date. How bout your worst?
I can't really say best and/or worst date. I think it comes down to the company. I'm not looking for outrageous or over the top wine-ing and dining...it's not about the date activity as much as the person on the date. The right guy could make a seemingly awful date absolutely perfect.
What would you do if you won $1,000? Or a $1,000,000?
If I won $1000.00 I would probably take my friends out for a nice dinner and drinks
If I won $1,000,000.00 I'd invest it...Madoff perhaps?
So, there you have it folks. I've gotten to know Leah an eensy bit through this whole process and she seems pretty darn awesome. If I was a guy...and not married...and ten years younger, shit, I'd date her ass myself.
So come awn down! Send us an email (effedinparkslope at gmail dot com)...leave us a comment (make sure to include link to a pic if you do) and let's get this fine young Park Slope lady a hunka hunka burnin' love.
[Seacrest out].
IN OTHER FIPS CARES NEWS: this shit really works!
Remember our messy frat boys? Well, an amazing FIPS reader wrote in to give us her rec for a housekeeper named Georgina. We passed along the deets to the boyz and voila:
I contacted Georgina I think the day you sent her my name and set up a time for her to come by the very next morning to check out my place and give me an estimate. She gave me a very reasonable price of $100 (she thought it would take about 5 hours).
So she came on Saturday and absolutely killed it, a really, really thorough job, and she's also insanely nice and personable and caring. She was moving dressers and cleaning behind them and doing all kinds of what-not some people would try to avoid. It ended up actually taking her closer to 6 hours, longer than she anticipated, so she didn't really have time left to do one little area -- our entry-way basically -- which was totally fair because she spent so much time anyways and any longer and I would have been ripping her off.
Only drag was she doesn't really bring much in the way of supplies, she works with what you have, so I had to buy a couple things she wanted to use, but that's wasn't that big of a deal. If you didn't have a vacuum though it would suck (though I'm not sure any house-cleaners bring vacuums with them in NY...).
Anyways, that's the deal. Totally solid recommendation and I'd recommend her to anyone.
YESSSSSSSSS!
Our adorable hipster couple IS still looking for an apartment in attempting to get away from their hot-to-trot loud sex roomies, so if anyone has any good leads on a sweet 2 bdr (NO FEE) apt in the Slope with outdoor space, KIT.
Whose got some more problemos? What can we help we help you with? FIPS Cares! Drop us a line or leave us a comment...we're on a roll.

Maybe an oversight but there's no mention of Leah's super lovely breasts. Let's give those girls their due!
if only i was younger by approximately 2 years.
I think we need to make an exception for @parowpyro [off to start a write in campaign]
