Dreams of a Greenwood Heights beer garden Are still alive

Don't pour a little beer out just yet for the dying dream of a Greenwood Heights beer garden.
Rumors are still circling that the lot at 555 7th Avenue between 19th and 20th Streets will be a fancy beer garden with fire pits(!) and landscaping.
Originally said to open in July, the site currently houses a tagged fence and shipping pallets (possible material for the exterior.)
Restaurateur Tedd Mann of Williamsburg's Cubana Social and Greenpoint's No Name Bar has lofty plans for the parking lot, but he's been busy. Just last month, he opened Gold Coast, a Katz's deli-style restaurant in Bay Ridge. He's probably also been doing some father/son bonding with his newfound dad, Ted Nugent. Cue the montage of them hunting, camping and watching Star Wars.
According to Brooklyn Based, the as-of-yet unnamed spot will be able to seat 700-800 in the 10,000 square-foot outdoor garden alone, and another 100-150 in the 3,000-square-foot interior. Hopefully, the beer garden is more than just a pipe dream as it's missing the prime season for outdoor beer drinking.
With a school nearby, the Greenwood Heights beer garden could be stuck in community board limbo. Does anyone know what the hang up is?
