Celebrate The Summer Solstice Tonight At Palo Santo!

Photo via thisisgonnabegood.blogspot.com

Got $55 and nothing to do on the longest day of the year?

Brooklyn Exposed is hosting their first Tasting Brooklyn Dining Club at the Slope's own Palo Santo.

During each themed event, you will dine with and engage the company of ten, fifteen or even twenty-five dining companions. At each event, you will also experience a different 'journey': you may sample a multitude of cuisines; engage in conversation with Chefs and learn about their creative techniques; learn where and how restaurants source their ingredients, explore various culinary cultures, learn about kitchen mastery and menu design and so much more.

I'm curious to know what the "so much more" part of the "journey" entails (read the aforementioned quote in the voice of Jessica Rabbit and see where your mind takes you, FIPS reader).

Palo Santo menu items will include avocado gazpacho, fried soft shell crab and pan roasted bluefish. YUMMMM. In addition to stuffing your face there will be a tour of the rooftop garden where their fresh herbs are plucked and some quality time spent with Chef Jacques Gautier.

I'd go but I still have a pack of Sargento cheddar and a comically large bottle of Yellowtail Riesling in my refrigerator to dive into.. (this is where my mom would jump in and flaunt her recent discovery of Twitter by saying, "Hashtag, broke and single.")
