Brooklyn D.A.: This shit's for real.

Image via nydailynews.comMore specifically this shit’s a reality show…nay, a six-part reality miniseries featuring the men and women of the King’s County District Attorney’s office. Edgy! Now I know someone had to fill the looming void that the Jersey Shore left in its absence, but the Brooklyn D.A.? Really?  I’m sure they deal with ungodly cases on a daily basis, I just think I’d rather watch a Brooklyn spinoff of “The Hills”… “The Slopes.” Anyone?  Fuhgettaboutit!

The masterminds behind 48 Hours bring us this gritty look at our local diversity of crime, debuting May 21st at 10PM on CBS, stating that this is a great reporting opportunity, and "Brooklyn itself will be a major character." Guys, I asked Brooklyn, and she said she’s holding out for more money.

Senior Executive Producer Susan Zirinsky sums up the need for this groundbreaking television saying, “No matter where you go, everyone has heard about Brooklyn.” Suz, no matter where you go, everyone has heard about ass cancer but I don’t want it in my living room.

This brings me to the weekly Top 10: Better Brooklyn reality show ideas:

         10.  The Slopes

         9.    BQE Road Rules

         8.    Williamsburger: a Burger Boutique Expose

         7.    BAM: More than a Quip

         6.    Carroll’s Garden: Horticulture in the Best Borough

         5.    Leffert’s Garden: an inevitable spinoff

         4.    The Real Nannies of Kings County

         3.    Freaks and Greeks: Coney Island Edition

         2.    Survivor: Prospect Park

         1.    Gowanus Shore

What’s the word FIPSters? Are you setting those DVR’s for Brooklyn D.A.? Do you have a reality show idea of your own? Inquiring minds want to know!
