Breaking: Overturned car in Grand Army Plaza

Despite all of the "improvements" to the traffic flow at Grand Army Plaza, it remains one of the most dangerous intersections in the city, as proven by the flipped Subaru Forrester I saw at about 4pm today, right where Eastern Parkway meets Plaza Street East. As far as I could tell, there was only one person in the car, and they had to rip the side of the car off to get him out. No doubt, some real reporters showed up after I left, and will have details on how many cars were involved in the accident.

As a side note, it did seem odd that so many people were standing around with little kids in strollers, waiting to see the driver get extracted from the car. Seems kind of like a scary thing for the toddler set to witness. IMHO. What do you think?
