BARK HOT DOGS

A few months ago, I could barely keep up with all of the restaurants and cafes that were closing down around here. But now that the economy is getting all stimulated-n-shit, there are a whole slew of new spots on the scene that you should all check out immediately: Bark Hot Dogs is one of em.

Now, true confessions: I've yet to make it here myself yet. But on principle alone, I support any spot that is focussed exclusively on the all mighty hot dog--and these dogs sound pretty darn special. i.e., they're sourced upstate from some Austrian sausage maker, AND they are all basted and finished off with smoked lard butter (!?) Now, I don't really know what the fuck smoked lard butter is, per se, but I'm pretty sure that if I tasted it I'd want to baste everything I eat in it from here on in. Also, they have a Slaw Dog, and that's pretty much my only requirement of any hot dog joint I frequent.

Reviews on Yelp are mixed thus far, but also its mostly people bitching about how expensive everything is on the menu.

Any of you bitches been yet and want to chime in?
