49 Years Ago Today, Shit Got REAL Bad in Park Slope: Plane Crash Flashback

Gothamist reminded us that today marks the anniversary of that horrible plane crash that went down in Park Slope 49 years ago. Two planes collided in mid air, killing 134 passengers as well as 6 people on the ground. Much of the wreckage landed at the intersection of 7th avenue and Sterling.

These pictures are insane...and INTENSE. Not to get all ghey, but it kinda gets me a little teary eyed seeing our neighborhood tricked out like a Will Smith disaster movie.
