Who Gives A Shit: What's Your Car Service Jam?

The first week Benjamin and I started FIPS I was all: "we should do a head-to-head roundup of all the local car services!" And he was all "FUCK YEAH!."

And then we never did anything. Though it all kinda works out fine cause our buds over at Brokelyn, with all their fancy shmancy investigative jouralism-ing-n-shit, cracked the lid wide open on the dark underbelly of Park Slope car services.

You'll be happy to know that shit ain't so dark. In fact, they researched 3 destination fares at 7 different car companies and they turned out to be *mostly* the same in terms of price/wait times/cc minimums...with one exception: 7th Avenue Car Company.

Oh snap!

I TOLD YOU PEOPLE 7TH AVENUE CAR SERVICE TOTALLY FUCKING SUCKS! Goddammit I hate those bitches, and now (thanks to Brokelyn!) we have solid proof that they blow. They charge more than everyone else, throw in bullshit about sales tax!?, and are hella rude. Also have you ever stopped in there to grab a car? The stench there is so thick and so distinct, its been forever imprinted on my brain: cigarettes, B.O., dirty socks, old carpet and a slight wet dog aroma thrown in for good measure.

It's gag-tastic.

Anyway.

I used to be a Northlands girl, but I'm done with them since they say 5 mins and then don't show up for 20--so its back into the welcoming arms of Arecibo for me. And despite an alarmingly cringe worthy story from our friend about how his bud got jumped by an Arecibo driver, they've been nothing but fast and cheap for my ass.

I also hear good things about Eastern.

Who do you guys dig?
