Who Gives A Shit: What Are You Listening To Right Now?

I'm just back from a few days rusticating upstate, an inordinate amount of which was spent driving aimlessly looking for a manual typewriter for kid deux's 8th birthday (Corona, 35 bucks!).

I've been enjoying (not!) the smooth, loving sounds of Christian music, which is ALL that was freaking playing on my car radio because we couldn't get any other stations. Everything is "you're my brother's keeper, you're my eternal light, love you like Jesus," and so on. There must be 15 stations. Fine, 5. 

All of which had me thinking. Usually, a car ride in the city is punctuated by an all out button war between NPR (me) and gangsta rap (kid). He's all about 92.3, 97.1 and 100.3; I'm more a 93.9 chick. 

Uh, "I like the way you grind your booty on me?" I'm feeling very Tipper Gore about that 50 Cent song.
