Want to See How Much Energy Park Slope Uses?

Because you CAN, right down to the block!

Columbia Professor Vijay Modi paired up with a grad student to bring us this interactive graph, which shows how much energy each New York City borough uses. Predictably, Manhattan uses more energy than any other borough. Within Brooklyn, it's the downtown area that repeatedly leaves all the lights on and the refrigerator door open (figuratively speaking). Those neighborhoods range from about 900-2500 killowat hours, while Park Slope keeps a slim average of about 300-600. Way to schedule those sleep timers on the TV set, Park Slope!
