The Pavilion Can’t Do Anything Right

After a series of complaints regarding the mis-flying of the Pavilion's American flag, the business finally reacted by taking it down. Park Slope Patch recently reported that the flag was violating US Flag Code Etiquettes by being "wrapped around its pole, touching the top surface of the marquee and is not taken down at night."

Further proving their inability to do anything correctly, Pavilion employees simply bunched it up, tossed it down and stuffed it in a plastic bag.

What makes this behavior especially offensive to neighbors is that the Pavilion stands on a road re-named for LCpl. Julian T. Brennan, who lived on the street and died in Afghanistan when his Humvee ran over an IED.

“It’s callous indifference to the veterans who that area is named after, my son included, and others,” Brennan’s father, who still live in Park Slope, Bill, told The Patch.

While we're on it, why have a movie theater if you’re going to show callous indifference toward it? Tiny, ripped screens, bed bug-ridden seats, shitty projectors, crappy concessions. They're treating the flag like shit, but what else can you expect? The Pavilion is completely incompetent at its actual purpose -- showing movies -- so hanging a flag correctly may be way too much to ask from them.
