[SPONSORED] Spring Clean with MyClean

“It’s so hard to find good help these days,” someone without any real problems might say.

But honestly, when it comes to finding someone to come in and clean your sad little apartment, shit is HARD.  The process is always a little weird and a lot sketchy—you often feel so grateful that the house cleaner shows up at all that you pretend not to notice how they didn’t bother to move the coffee table when they were sweeping, or actually clean the bathtub with soap and water.

Enter MyClean, a service that does two wonderful things: 1.) Ensures reliability and accountability on behalf of the people cleaning your home and 2.) allows you to book it all completely online so you don’t need to actually speak words out loud to anyone (always a personal goal of mine).

To get started, go to myclean.com and enter your zip code (they proudly service Park Slope and other areas of Brooklyn), as well as your apartment layout, including the number of bedrooms and bathrooms you have. VOILA!  You’ll get an automatic estimate of the price and how long the clean will take based on what level of clean you need (base clean, extended clean, or spring clean).

You’ll probably be surprised how affordable it is—the estimate for my one-bedroom apartment was only $66.50 for two and a half solid hours of cleaning.  And let me just say that since I moved in two years ago that I have not spent anywhere near three hours cleaning my apartment. Like, not even once.

And best of all, with MyClean, you can order up a house cleaning whenever you need it.  If you’re one of those neat freaks (don’t you hate those people?) that wants recurring cleanings, you can select that option as well.

And I'm guessing that like me, you’ve probably got a bunch of cleaning supplies hanging out under your sink and collecting dust.  Not to worry, you slob!  You can let MyClean put them to use.  And if you really don’t even have an old bottle of Pine Sol and some paper towels, they’ll show up with supplies for a small cost.

All of MyClean’s staff are trained, insured, and bonded, and you can pay online with a credit card so you don’t have to keep wads of cash laying around like a mobster in a cartoon.  They also offer after party clean-up, which is great if you want to get crazy like you did in college, even though you'll inevitably wake up feeling like you're 35 (you are).

So, take a look around at all of the old magazines piling up on the coffee table, and the dust bunnies that are colonizing in the corner even though you “Swiffered” last week.

You know your apartment could use a good scrub-down.

Get started now.  You’ll get 15% off of your first clean by mentioning the code FIPS when scheduling.
