[SPONSORED] Get Clean with MyClean

Whether your apartment is strewn with pizza boxes and you’ve finally decided that you’re tired of living like you’re in college, or if you’re a perfectionist neat freak who’s hectic schedule doesn’t allow time for baseboard scrubbing, MyClean is a cleaning service that will help you keep your apartment clean and your life organized.

MyClean’s CEO Michael Scharf tells us more about MyClean.

When did you start MyClean?

The development for the MyClean software began at the beginning of 2009, and the company went live in November of 2009.  As word has spread (through Yelp, Google Places, and old fashioned word-of-mouth) about the quality of our service, we have grown consistently, particularly over the last 6-12 months.

Why did you start MyClean?

MyClean was borne out of the idea that busy, urban, professionals should be able to conveniently book, manage, and pay for the cleaning of their homes, without the hassles typically associated with finding and communicating with other maid services. Our website (MyClean.com) executes on this idea.  As the company has grown, we also began working with a lot of offices.

What makes MyClean different?

We have an easy to use online platform that allows for the quoting, booking, paying for and communicating all cleaning needs.  Our cleaners are thoroughly trained in the MyClean method of cleaning that allows for a fast, efficient and thorough clean executing on our 50 Point MyClean Checklist.  MyClean also puts customer service and satisfaction above all other goals.  When issues arise (be it a rescheduled appointment, or the need for a last minute clean), our customers inquiries are answered quickly and professionally.

Approximately how many homes/apartments do you currently service?

We clean about 200 homes/apartments and 50 offices per week.  The apartments range from 350 Square Foot Studios to 4,000 Square Foot Brooklyn Heights lofts.

What are your favorite Park Slope hangouts?

Whenever I am in Park Slope, either on business (providing in-home estimates or performing random inspections of our cleaners' work), I make it a point to go to Stone Park Café or Sidecar.  I also like Park Slope Ale House, particularly in the summer, when I can sit outside and take in the vibrant neighborhood.  When I’m looking for a night out (often for Monday Night Football), I try to get out to High Dive.
