Showtime Wants Your Brownstone
Anyone want to make a few grand a day loaning out their fancy digs? Showtime’s people are slapping flyers up on townhouses and brownstones throughout our bucolic paradise seeking a place where they can film for a day or two next month. The flyer pictured above was spotted on 7th St. off of Prospect Park West.
What happens if you loan your Park Slope palace to a movie production crew? Well…
1. The crew usually load their heavy huge equipment in before most civilized people wake up and finish up after midnight.
2. More people than you’ve ever had over for Thanksgiving dinner or a rave party invade your place and treat it like it was the Pavilion.
3. The crew will possibly discover your naughty toys while doing white lines in your powder room.
On the plus side, you can make a bundle, anywhere from $500 to 12K a day. However, if you own a Brooklyn brownstone, that kind of money may not make you as wet in the panties as it does me.
I would rent out my pad but there are two things holding me back:
1. I don’t have a fancy (or even a non-fancy) brownstone or townhouse.
2. This particular production stars Maura Tierney, whom my husband has had a crush on since her News Radio days.
So, anyone going to give Showtime a call and risk your husband having an affair with Maura Tierney?
