SHOW ME YOURS: 1 Bdr on Union Street

Ohhh snap! Erica's apartment was featured in last week's Home Design edition of Time Out New York, so we're doing a hybrid "Show Me Yours" featuring photos from the article and elsewhere online.

* Location: Union Street between the park and 8th ave
* Type: 1 Bedroom
* Cost: Around $761/mo for maintenance. I'm not telling you how much our mortgage is, but rest assured we bought at EXACTLY the wrong time (Sept, 07').
* Rent or Own?: own
* Sq Footage: 690sft
* How did you find this place?: Corcoran website
* Amenities: killer location near two express trains (Q/B and 2/3), the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket, Prospect Park, and all the restaurants/shops along 7th ave. Live-in super. Laundry in basement, bike storage, keyless entry in building and VERIZON FIOS, BITCHES!
* Who calls this place home?: A douchey blogger/marketing director and her cool vlogger/marketing director husband. And their Basset Hound Oliver.
* What's really good about this joint?: Pre-war charming details in apt (built in bookshelves), fantastic layout with no wasted space, and an elevator in the building! Also we customized all the closets.
* What's really bad about this joint? The bathroom sucks, and needs to be ripped out so that we can start over (which is why you see no pictures of it). Also, no central air. I mean, we have window units, but central AC would be the bomb diggity. Oh, also a w/d unit IN our apt would rule.
To read the full TONY article, go here. Erica goes into all sorts of detail about where she bought a lot of her shit, as well as why she made some of the design decisions she did.
To see more photos, as well as Erica's Q&A with The House of Brinson, go here.
And just for funzies (and cause you bitches always ask), here's a floorplan of Erica's place AND a photo of what the living room looked like before she got a hold of it.
If you've got a Park Slope pad that you want to share, send photos and apartment info (location, cost of rent/mortgage, amenities, your occupation and answers to questions above) to effedinparkslope at gmail dot com.
We'll even come and shoot your apt for you!
