Prospect Heights Is The Next Big Thing. Wow. Pure Wow.

Have you heard of PureWow.com? It's a relatively new-ish women's lifestyle website covering fashion, beauty, food and travel, culture, etc., with national local editions. So, basically, Daily Candy redux. I don't know how I ended up getting their NYC newsletter, but one of the latest highlights Prospect Heights as the "Next Big Thing."
The slideshow features photos of Tom's Diner (above), an apartment in the Richard Meier building renting for $15,000 a month, an apartment on Carleton and Dean renting for $6500 a month, Ample Hills, Tooker Alley on Washington, and the newly opened Hawker Bar on Vanderbilt. Now, for sure, Prospect Heights has blown up in the past few years, but this bit of copy in the write-up gave me pause:
Multiple subway lines will lead you back into the city for when you need to get your Babbo fix, but with all the new bars and restaurants popping up, we’re sure those trips won’t seem so needed after a while.
Babbo?! Seriously?? What year is this?
