Presented Without Irony: The Breeders to Launch 20th Anniversary Tour in Park Slope

Do you remember 1993? George Bush, Sr. was on his way out, and Bill Clinton was on his way in. Kurt Cobain was still alive. George and Jerry pitched their "show about nothing" to NBC. Jurassic Park was killing it at the box office. Lena Dunham turned seven. And The Breeders' Cannonball was every Gen X'ers summer anthem. Now, Spin magazine is reporting:
The lineup that made the Breeders' beloved 1993 abum Last Splash — Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson — will be celebrating the album's 20th anniversary in Brooklyn, New York, on March 29 by playing the album in full, front to back. The show at the Bell House will mark the lineup's first concert in nearly two decades
That sound you heard was every 35-45 year old in the neighborhood collectively screaming, "Holy fucking shit, call the babysitter!" Tickets go on sale Wednesday January 30th at noon, and you can bet it will sell out faster than you can say, "Donna Martin graduates!" On the fence? Take a stroll down memory lane with the rockin' video for Cannonball, directed by Kim Gordon and Spike Jonze:
