Park Slope's Bill De Blasio wins NYC Mayoral race

Photo credit: European Pressphoto AgencyIt's official: Park Slope's own Bill De Blasio is now the Mayor of New York City. His Park Slope wife is First Lady of New York, and his super-Slope-y kids will now be in the spotlight even more.
In fact, Chirlane McCray is so Park Slope, she bought her election night party dress from Anni Kuan, a designer right here in the neighborhood, according to the Wall Street Journal's Metropolis blog:
Ms. McCray discovered the designer while shopping at Park Slope boutique Otto.
“I asked Chirlane, ‘Do you know what you’ll be wearing on election night?’” Ms. Kuan said in an interview. “She said she’s too busy to think about it, and she’ll wear something from her closet. So I said, ‘We’ll meet, and I’ll make a dress for you.’”
The wholesale cost of the dress is $92, and according to Ms. Kuan, we will all be able to buy when it hits retail stores later this year.
The news clips of the party last night at the Park Slope Armory look fun. Once Lhota called and conceded to Di Blasio's landslide victory, Bill walked in to the party while Lorde's "Royals" blared through the speakers. Heh, heh, quite a propos, given De Blasio's "Tale of Two Cities" campaign stumping. Ten bucks that was Dante's suggestion.
