Park Slope Eatery Store For Rent
According to the above photo, which was sent in by a FiPS tipster earlier today, The Park Slope Eatery on 7th Avenue is up for rent (does this mean we'll maybe -- FINALLY -- get the salad place we here at FiPS have been dying for?). In addition, it appears that this may not have been the choice of the folks who run the place, as there was a Marshal's Legal Possession sign posted on the storefront's window.
According to the City of NY's Department of Investigation, legal possession differs from eviction in that "the tenant's personal property remains under the care and control of the landlord until the tenant can arrange to transport the property to another location." In the case of an eviction, "the tenant's belongings are moved under the supervision of the marshal and stored at a private warehouse."
Last year, Crain's NY reported that the Park Slope Eatery had filed for bankruptcy in March of 2011.
