[MADE IN BK] Sea Bean Goods
I hate it when douchebags throw up their hands at something and say, "Only in New York!" Really, most things people deem as "only in New York" moments are actually things that happen every day, in any large metropolitan area.
But COME ON, do you really think that a soup delivery service could exist anywhere outside of New York City? Sea Bean Goods is exactly that—a soup delivery service out of Greenpoint. The Soup Maker is Nicole Chaszar—a French Culinary Institute trained chef—and she regularly makes up batches of soup like Spicy Sweet Potato, Clam & Leek Chowder, and Oyster & Mushroom, just so she can deliver them right to your door.
How does it work? You say to yourself, "Hell yeah, I want some homemade soup delivered to my door every week." You sign up for a Sea Bean subscription, and let them know how often you want to spoon (they offer one week and four week subscriptions). You get to choose the soups you want, and they deliver them to you in a thermal tote bag that you get to keep. Subscriptions start at $30.
