'I Am A Gay American Basset Hound'
Please note: this post has been dictated entirely by Oliver's Animal Communicator. However, all thoughts, opinions and points-of-view are his and his alone.
I know that my mom Erica has written about me many time on this blog before (and also on Twitter). Truth be told, I kind of like it.
I've met some of you around the neighborhood and I'm always really flattered when one of you FIPS readers recognizes me.
In fact, I feel like you have all really embraced me as a community, and that's why I felt it was time I was truly honest with you. And that means telling the truth and telling the WHOLE TRUTH.
So here it is, plain and simple: I am a gay, American Basset Hound.
I know some of you might be shocked and, quite frankly, I was shocked too. I was not at all in touch with these feelings until recently, so this is all very new for me as well. However, I've been working through a lot of personal stuff and its just all becoming crystal clear: I'm 100%, International Male catalog ordering, Logo Network watching, rainbow flag flying GAY.
Case in point:
This was me *just* yesterday morning date raping @DanGords's dog Cooper in the park. I LOVE COOPER AND I DON'T CARE WHO KNOWS IT! COOPER IS SOOO HAWT! I WANT TO BANG COOPER ALLLL DAY LONG!
And really, I just can't be alone with this anymore! (see sad sad photo at top of post). If I can help one other mop-headed Labradoodle...one sad, lonely, cofused Puggle...or even a dopey Lab work their way through something like this, than this gut wrenchingly honest post will have been worth it.
So I say to you all: take some time out today to talk to your pets and find out if they too might be of the canine LGBT community. There is a whole support community out there as well as many tools to help you through this as a family. For instance, Erica has been playing this CD on the Bose speakers all morn:
And Greg started reading this book last night:
As well as this NYT Article: Can Animals Be Gay?
We're all dealing with this together!
So anyway yeah, I'm a gay American Basset Hound...and I don't care who knows it.
GO GAYS!
