How Sir Patrick Stewart's New Park Slope Quarters Stack Up To His Other Homes

Patrick Stewart, a wonder of an actor -- and childhood hero of mine -- can't walk down the street of his new 'hood without someone in the Park Slope blogosphere writing a damn cutesy post about it. Or starting a tumblr devoted to it (which is genius, btw). And yes, I know that I'm the one who compared Park Slope to the Enterprise D, but it's just so much fun! We local bloggers do this, Sir Patrick Stewart, only because we love you and want you to stay forever.

And in the spirit of our collective nosiness, I believe we are all curious to know what lucky Park Slope pad you have decided to call home. Recently, Curbed spilled the beans of Stewart's nifty new digs at 288 7th Street. Let me tell you this place is sweeeet (click HERE for more photos). It is a 3-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom converted carriage house and includes a private 1,200-square-foot rooftop terrace and a ton of other amazing shit that I'm going to tell you about after the jump.

In short: it's not too shabby. But how does it compare to some of the other places Sir Patrick has lived?

His "little" school for gifted mutants in Westchester might have be a swank manor, but in his new Park Slope pad, and according to Curbed, he'll be able to "Enter the front garden through a towering iron gate, through a solid 8 foot wood door and into a private keyed elevator to this sprawling and sun drenched home." Something tells me the mutant manor didn't have elevators...

I'm pretty sure on the Enterprise, P-Stew had a big studio with one northern exposure, but in Park Slope he gets "Four exposures, 11 foot ceilings, and a 31 foot wide living/dining and kitchen area in one of Park Slope's most spacious and welcoming interior spaces."

And unlike that ramshackle shit box he lived in on the Stargazer, this place has "a laundry room, a chef's kitchen and a master suite" AND -- no Ferengi mind probes lurking about.

Actually, Sir Patrick Stewart's new Park Slope pad is a lot like his 19th Century Dickensian London pad from A Christmas Carol: it's a renovated carriage house replate with two wood-burning fireplaces.

And although it's location on 7th Street puts him smack dab in the middle of Breeder central, at least the sitch is better than those damn spice-addicted Fremen on Arrakis...

...or his drippy neighbors in that Upper East Side co-op.

Do you feel nerd dirty now? I know I do. But seriously, Sir Patrick, please invite me over to your fly roof deck. I'll bring you a nice bottle of Scotch and we can hang.
