How many restaurant concepts can one space try?

Have you guys been to Fusion City yet? It's an Indian and Chinese restaurant that recently opened up in Park Slope on 9th Street just west of 5th Avenue (310 9th Street, to be specific). I haven't tried it myself - I'm not a huge fan of "fusion" cuisine, especially when I don't really like either of those cuisines separately.
I'm also not even sure it's open yet, considering two months ago, the place was a totally different restaurant. That one was called Filfila, and it was a pretty not bad falafel shop that opened back in September 2011. Before that, the space was called Pizza Pita Grill. And before that, a place called Pita Hut.
I have to admit, the place has gone through so much turnover, I don't even bother keeping up with what's coming in next. In fact, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure this space has had more turnover than any other restaurant I've seen in Park Slope since I moved here in 2006. (If you want to see how much the space costs, the listing is still online).
But am I the only one out there who turns his brain off to that much change? Like, part of me thinks if a space has tried this many restaurant concepts, the owners and potential new renters should get the hint that this spot is not meant to be a restaurant. Am I totally off base here?
