Heroes Actress Allegedly Lured Ex-Husband to Cheeburger Cheeburger For an Ass-kicking
These days, nothing makes me miss Law & Order more than a juicy story about a TV star who *allegedly* lured her former husband to a burger shop so that her new husband could deliver an old school beat-down. According to dnainfo.com, on the afternoon of June 6, 2012, former Heroes star Tawny Cypress lured her ex-husband, photo agent Bill Charles, to the Cheeburger Cheeburger at 7th Avenue, where her new hubby fractured his nose and gave him a concussion by delivering a hard blow with a blunt object.
Cypress allegedly used her son -- with whom the two share joint custody -- to arrange the meeting with his father. She "knew that [Dillon] would be lying in waiting," the crime drama script lawsuit claims. Charles was ultimately arrested in the incident, but he’s suing Cypress and husband Tom Dillon for assault, kidnapping, and lying about what happened on that fateful summer day (Charles claims that he was arrested only because Cypress and Dillon lied about the incident.) Don’t lie, boys and girls! You’ll get sued for it, probably.
Since being featured in the 2006 season of Heroes, Cypress has appeared on the shows Rescue Me, K-Ville, The Good Wife, and Elementary. Moreover, in a heartbreaking episode of Kenan and Kel, she played a bottle of orange soda that was forced to decide between Kel and a drinking glass. She ultimately chose the glass.
I’d like to think that Cheeburger Cheeburger isn’t innocent in this scenario, either. The burger joint, which boasts a pitiful 3-star yelp.com rating, is basically the red-headed step child of greasy spoons in the Slope. I’m not sure I’ve even met anyone who’s been there. While other burgers joints thrive on juicy beef patties and milk shakes, this place has resigned to children’s karaoke (the horror!) to attract patrons.
