Giant Park Slope Beer Hall's Opening Delayed By DOB Paperwork
For those of you eagerly awaiting the opening of Die Koelner Bierhalle on St. Marks near 4th Avenue -- an authentic, 4,000 square foot German beer hall with a giant back garden that will satisfy up to 200 drinkers at a time with 30 German beers on tap, 40 bottled brews and tasty bratwurst and kielbasa -- you might have to settle for elsewhere a tad bit longer.
Die Koelner Bierhalle partner and manager Natasha Kokonezi recently explained to DNA Info that while they'd hoped to open the joint back in January, paperwork requirements with the Department of Buildings have kept them from doing so. At this point the owners are just waiting approval on a certificate of occupancy, which they're fairly confident will come in time for a Labor Day weekend opening (if not sooner).
Viel glück, Die Koelner Bierhalle!
