Get your craft on at Etsy Labs

The Slope isn't just for intellectuals and pseudo-hipsters. If you're the crafty kind, head over to Etsy in Dumbo this Thursday.

On March 8th, Etsy Labs is hosting Hands-On: Drawing with two (free!) drawing sessions. It will be just like the Dumbo of yesteryear before the Walentas got ahold of it.
In each session, you'll have a chance to work with Art House Co-opVeronica Lawlor and members of Studio 1482. Art House Co-op, of the upcoming Sketchbook Project tour, will run a mixed media map drawing project, which means you can finally make that representational or abstract map of the coffeeshops in the Slope. You can also experiment with different mediums and draw from a costumed model in Veronica Lawlor's observational drawing session.
The first session is 5:15PM to 6:45PM  and the second session is 7:00PM to 8:30PM. Be sure to sign up ahead of time for one session only. You'll also have a chance to win prizes and talk with Etsy Support about any questions, like advice on controling your Etsy habit.
If it fills up, worry not. According to Etsy Labs, there's an event every month. The skill level for these events are always basic, so as long as you can use a glue stick, you're golden.
