[Game of FIPS]: If You Had To Choose A Chain

Image via ny.racked.comAs we noted yesterday, more and more 7th Avenue storefronts are shuttering, and many of them have been empty for months, or even years in the case of Yogo Monster's former location, which has been sitting there with nothing in it since October 2012. Park Slope Stoop recently walked up and down 7th and there are 14 empty storefronts. Fourteen!!! So, what the fuck is the problem? The rents are too damn high! For nice little neighborhood shops, anyway. You know why the owners are raising the rents so high? They want them chains, chains, chains!

I thought it would be fun if we played a little game called If You Had To Choose A Chain. It's kind of like Would You Rather -- nobody wants to french kiss a dog or lick a New York City garbage can, but if you're playing Would You Rather you HAVE to choose one or the other. Same with If You Had To Choose A Chain. I don't really want to see Panera Bread move into the old Two Boots space (yeah, yeah, not technically on 7th, whatever), but you know what? It would probably do really well there. I'm sure I'll get endless shit for this, but I would actually be pretty fucking psyched if a Blue Mercury opened up here. There. I said it!

So, FIPS readers, bare your souls, confess in the comments, which chain would you suggest for any of the open spots on 7th?
