FiPs Top 10: Ode to the MTA Fair Hike (in 10 couplets)

Thought the MTA and I were tight;

to work in the morning, back home at night.

Though when I hopped the F today,

that illusion went away.

Now I know that they don’t care,

they bent me over and hiked the fare.

They’re so quick to hand out fucks,

but trains are packed and service sucks.

My rent is high and funds are slight,

raising prices just ain’t right.

Can’t help but think we’re being fleeced,

Now that all the fares increased.

Monthly, weekly, singles too,

the MTA is robbing you.

Why must you guys do us wrong?

Didn’t you hear the G Train Song?

I doubt they’ll ever hear my plea;

greedy transit Monopoly.

Best way to avoid the hike?          

Forget mass transit.  Buy a bike.
