Did You Lose Your Chicken in Park Slope?
Normally when you find a stray animal it comes in the form of a dog or a cat, slightly mangled and unloved, as they were once cute puppies and kittens and now no longer "desirable." The Slope, however, has taken it to another level: I'm talking 'bout lost chickens.
Someone posted a “Found a Lost Chicken” ad on Brooklynian, with a picture of the ugly, awkward teen stage chicken as a reference—I’m guessing this was to avoid mistakenly returning the chicken to the wrong owner, as several other people in Park Slope are likely looking for missing chickens as well.
This must be another example of someone buying a cute baby animal and then losing interest when it’s no longer tiny and adorable. You bet your ass nobody finds any baby chicks running around; they’re all fuzzy and cute…like little, yellow puffs of chirping happiness. Unfortunately, teen awkward stage chicken is not attractive; the poor thing didn’t stand a chance.
Let’s just keep our eyes peeled for any increase in ugly bastard chickens running amok around the Slope and hope nobody starts showing interest in baby pigs.
