Could You Live in a Windowless Apartment?

A friend o'FIPS wrote in with a heads up that in the Approval Matrix of the August 11-24th issue of New York Magazine, one of the LOWBROW/DESPICABLE items was a studio apartment of Sackett Street, going for $1250 per month, but there's a catch -- it has no windows.

That seems craaaaaazy to me, but maybe that's just how shit rolls here in Park Slope these days.

I did it for 3 years back in the early 80's in a ground floor apt. in Chinatown. The money I saved on rent was lost on constantly being out in bars, restaurants and self medication. Depression loomed large. When I moved out to a place on the 4th floor with plenty of sunlight my career turned around and I was finally able to get dates. Never will I live without light again.
