Cool or Not Cool: Kiddies in the PPW Bike Lane?

It seems that the proverbial dust has settled with the PPW bike lane debacle and, for the time being, all can bike in peace. Or can they?

A FiPS devotee tells us that she has a new bike lane beef: too many kids in the lanes. Here's what she had to say:

Not a Park Slope resident (Northern Brooklynite), but I need to vent.  WHY ARE THERE SO MANY CHILDREN IN THE PPW BIKE LANES?  This Sunday it was awful--I can't believe I got through without hitting some poor child.

Don't get me wrong--I think it's great to see kids on bikes and getting used to bike lanes while they're young.  With that being said, it's dangerous to have such small children in the lanes.  And annoying.

Personally, I use the bike lane early in the morning and there ain't no kiddies around then. But what do you think, FIPSters: too many kids gunking up the lanes?
