Brooklyn Resident Says Brooklyn Is For Losers

New York Post columnist and BK RESIDENT Andrea Peyser thinks that Brooklyn is a place for losers who have failed to make it in Manhattan. She says people who claim to live in Brooklyn “by choice” are just covering for the fact that they can’t afford Manhattan ('Cause Brooklyn's cheap as shit, right?). A friend of Peyser's even refers to people who live outside of Manhattan as being "geographically challenged."

SAY WHAT?!

When I first moved to NYC from Florida, I was infected with the garbage mentality that Manhattan equals #1 and all the surrounding boroughs are just a temporary habitat until you can afford movin’ on up ["to the east side"]. Three years later, that infection thankfully healed. I love living in Brooklyn. 

I’ve lived in Manhattan and have friends that live there, and although it’s true that it was pulling teeth to get them to visit me in Brooklyn, they are now suddenly all gung ho about moving to Brooklyn!
