BREAKING: Stabbing At The F Train 4th Ave Stop

Photo via Form and Effect

Late this evening we received a few tips about a possible stabbing at the F train subway stop at 4th ave and 9th street. We'll fill you in on more deets as they arrive, but here's the most detailed account we got from a FiPS reader referring to himself as simply, "A":

Hey guys... so I get off the F train around 11pm tonight to see that there is crime scene taped around one of the entrances (4th Ave side) Some rubbish is on the ground and what looks like blood on the side of the wall. Cops are around and when I exited through the side (landing on 10th Street) I saw more cops, one with a camera, one with those little evidence markers with numbers on them (that also look like the numbers they put on your table at pizza places). Finally I asked one cop at the corner what happened and he had himself a nice chuckle and then smugly replied that we should be careful when exiting stations and not stand around talking on our phones because you could get stabbed. Needless to say, I was NOT pleased. Way to make people feel safe, dick. So if I'm on my phone, I might get stabbed and then you'll be the douchebag standing at the corner telling my neighbors that it was my fault while you joke with some dude decked out in Yankees gear? Basically, I'm writing to say that I have no idea what happened tonight at the station but that the little respect I have for cops in this area is continuing to dwindle.

If that cop did in fact laugh about this then yes, he is as "A" put it, a DICK. Did any of you FiPS readers witness this too?
