BREAKING: Holy Fire on 4th Ave! And Flood!

There is a gigantic fire blazing right now at the Danken Auto Supply shop on 4th Ave between Sackett and Degraw. According to @Breaking911 "Heavy fire conditions throughout building. Fire through the roof." It's apparently progressed from a 2 alarm fire to a 4 alarm.

Also he had this to say: My friend (Brooklyn poet) Sharon Mesmer who started her first day as a volunteer this morning at C.H.I.P.S. (next door) said that the place flooded due to the fire, was evacuated and that women and small children who were staying on the second floor (temporary shelter I believe) ran out onto the street. The children were wrapped in towels as if they were being bathed at the time. Bad news for such a worthy place and the people it serves.
