BREAKING: Fresh Direct Has Got Bigger Problems Than Idling Trucks [ACCIDENT ON UNION & 8TH AVE]

Yowza.

A Fresh Direct Truck smashed the shit out of a Pathfinder last night on the corner of Union and 8th Ave.

First of all, let it be said that the corner is a total fucking menace. I'm not sure what goes on there, or why its so prone for having accidents happen there, but it sooooo is.

Last night at around 10:30pm, Greg came running up from his basketball game with a directive for me to get down to the street pronto. He swore that a Fresh Direct truck, not moments before had plowed into a Pathfinder (and the 5 cars in front of it) and that if I cared at all about journalism, or my neighborhood, or any of you bitches, I would go. I grabbed my camera (braless, ppl! That's how *much* I CARE!) and ran down to snap some photos.

The crowds had mostly dissipated by then, but yikes! That Pathfinder got hosed. And apparently the force of the FD truck, pushed it straight into the 5 cars in front of it, causing a parked car pile up.

The police were taking down the plate and registration info of the Pathfinder (which clearly go the worst of it) and the other cars, but I was curious what they actually do with that? Like, do they try to track down this Grateful Dead loving fool to tell him his car has gone off to a better place? Or do they just fill out a report on a typewriter and file it away, so when this dude calls the city he's gonna be on hold for 10 hours and still confused about where the fuck his car went?

Anyway, if your car was parked on 8th Ave between Union and Berkeley (side of street closest to the Park) you might want to high tail it over there and see if it still exists.
