7th Ave Dunkin' Donuts under construction

The transformation from local eatery to chain coffee shop has begun. Tonio's restaurant stood on 7th ave near 8th street for 19 years. It's currently under construction and will soon be reopened as a shiny, new Dunkin' Donuts. From what I've read on Tonio's Yelp page, the joint will be missed. From what I've heard from my grandmother, every time a coffee corporation replaces a local Italian restaurant, a piece of potato gnocchi falls down dead.
