Wherin Time Warner Cable Finally Did Something That Didn't Make Us Want to Punch Them

Time Warner's Photo Proof of Said Kind Gesture

We here at FiPS have never been shy about our hatred for Time Warner Cable. But even we got a little verklempt-y upon getting this email from a Time Warner rep, which has made us hate them slightly less:

"As you may or may not know, last week Time Warner Cable deployed mobile stations around NYC to allow people without power to charge up their phones, use our WiFi, laptops and iPads, etc.

Today, a couple people walked up to our station located on the street in Red Hook, Brooklyn, and alerted us of a woman stranded in her apartment because her electric wheelchair was out of power. She wanted to go out and vote. Our team brought our mobile station’s generator to the ground beneath her apartment, ran an extension cord through the window, and charged her chair.

Attached are two photos taken with our worker’s smartphone. Please utilize these photos as it’s a pretty unique election day story. The lady’s name is Kacania Taylor and she is a resident of Red Hook, Brooklyn, and has been without power since Hurricane Sandy passed. The Time Warner Cable rep’s name is Robert Levy."

Someone pass this story along to Patrick Stewart, K?
