The New York Times Likes Us! They Really (Sort of) Like Us This Week!

Think fast. You're on Family Feud and the category is "Subject of Park Slope Stories in the New York Times." So validation seekers, survey says . . .

1. Strollers

2. Gropers

3. Superfund Canals

4. Expensive Brownstones

5. Food Co-op Drama

6. Nannies

7. Historical Aviation Disasters

8. Famous Local Novelists

I'll be honest - I didn't survey 100 random people, nor did this category ever appear on the show (though this category once did, which is nice). If you do a search of "New York Times" and "Park Slope" you'll see that typically the results are not far off from my top 8. But not this week! And second, a glowing article (with adorable slide show to boot) on the Super Hero Supply Co with nary a backhanded compliment about how the store/tutoring center's literary pedigree is perfectly at home in our 'hood (or whatever). So there you have it: this week the Times likes us. We'll take it. At least until an updated version of this gem appears, that is...
