The Gate's Semi-Accidental Halloween Costume Contest
Apparently, there was a costume contest at the Gate last night. I'll put the emphasis on "apparently," because at 10 p.m., there were about four people there who were dressed up. I think I'm fairly safe to say anyone who participated at about midnight did so accidentally after having straggled in ("Costume contest? Well, I'll stand up--I need to justify why I'm dressed like an ass!"). Being the diligent journalist that I am, I snapped some photos.
Your winners for the evening:
The Man in the Yellow Hat and Curious George(tte). $100 bucks richer. You cannot see the tight yellow pants, but trust me, they were there.
Second placed sucked, so I'm not even going to show you that shit. Third:
The couple from VJ Day in Times Square...dead. ('Cause they are now. 'Sup history!)
An honorable mention:
The trainer from Sea World who got mauled, complete with a bucket of Swedish Fish. (Thanks for feeding my addiction, dude.) Um...won't comment on the "too soon?" question.
And finally, this guy:
Who I think said he was his inner self. I don't know. You judge.
Anyway, that's what you missed from the accidental costume contest at The Gate last night. Happy Halloween and shit.
