Cool or Not Cool: Muni-Meters On 8th Avenue?

Call it progress. Call it a pain in the ass. The single-space parking meters on 8th Avenue are going the way of Kim Kardashians sham marriage. DUNZO. And the progress comes with a higher price tag! The new muni-metered spots installed on Monday morning will now cost 25 cents per 15 minutes, whereas the old single-spot meters were 25 cents per 20 minutes. You do the math.

According to Park Slope Patch, 20 meters will dot the 3-block stretch, which seems excessive. The solar-powered babies will accept major credit cards, quarters, New York City Parking Cards and $1 coins, because we all have a shitload of Sacagaweas laying around.
