FIPS Crime Blotter: Stolen Wheels…Again

The last time FIPS wrote about cars up on cinder blocks with their tires stolen, both cars in that instance were Toyota Venzas. This time, our tipster sent us this photo of Mercedes sedan on the bike lane side of Prospect Park West. Damn, that sucks.
Though, it is worth noting that our last post about this was almost exactly a year ago, so perhaps the tire bandits have a season? Like, somehow, they looked at the calendar and decided spring -- or at least the first hint of spring weather -- was the best time for stealing tires? I mean, obviously, you'd have to be a moron to go out stealing tires in the winter. It's just too cold. And in the summer, people stay outside much later because it's so hot, and even tire thieves need their beauty sleep. Why not fall? Well, the school year starts, and next thing you know it's Halloween, then Thanksgving, and everyone knows you make the best apple pie, then before you know it it's Christmas! Tire bandits...they're just like us!
