Hey You, FiPS Reader: Got Some Advice For These Folks?

Now and then people email our FiPS tip line asking for sage advice. Unless it's about a specidic Golden Girls episode or what kind of cheese goes well with box wine, I'm usually at a loss. So I turn to you, FiPS reader. If you have some advice for those who seek it, drop a comment in the box below! It's nice to help those who are -- get ready -- FUCKED IN PARK SLOPE.  

ACHING FOR A COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION:

I'm ready to jump ship from the big evil banks, and am wondering if you or perhaps your many readers have tips on finding a community credit union that Park Slopers can join?  I don't belong to a church, and don't work for a company that has a credit union membership. I've found a few community credit unions in BK, but none that serve Community Board 6. I'm willing to join one outside the neighborhood too, but haven't had much luck searching on creditunion.coop. Tips?
