South BK Gets Short End of Wi-Fi Stick

Photo via DviceLast week Mayor Bloomberg announced that 20 parks in NYC will receive free Wi-Fi by the end of summer. So now we can watch porn at the library AND in Prospect Park! Holla. McCarren and Brooklyn Bridge Park are also on the list, but guess who isn't?? South Brooklyn.

Some BK residents are speaking out about Bloomberg's snub.

Via The Brooklyn Paper:

The webless blame the city for putting wireless in more affluent parts of Brooklyn and not in working-class and middle-class Bay Ridge.

“If they’re going to phase it in, that’s fine, but they’re going to exclude some parts permanently, I don’t think that’s good,” said Carroll Gardens resident Otto Lombardo.

Can't we all just get along? Wi-Fi(ght) over it? OK. But seriously, maybe we can write Bloomberg a letter or something? Get Sunset Park some Wi-Fi lovin'?
