Rumorsville: Are Baluchi's employees blowing snot rockets on the sidewalk?

Baluchi's, with their new neon sign / via Here's Park Slope

The commenters on Here's Park Slope seem to think so.

The neighborhood blog posted an article about a new neon sign that was recently hung above Baluchi's on 5th avenue. Commenters began to weigh in, mostly about how the people who live upstairs must be fucking PO'd over the bright lights, but a few observed a different issue with the Indian joint. A grosser one, I might add.

“Twice I've witnessed a guy in a white coat (either a chef or some other kitchen worker) stand outside the Baluchi kitchen and blow snot out of one nostril while holding the other nostril shut with a finger," one commenter said. "After repeating the exercise with the other nostril, he then walked right back into the ktichen. Again - I've seen this twice, not once."

Another chimed in: "Agreed... I too have seen Snot Chef spray the sidewalk multiple times."

Whether some dude who works in a kitchen is the type to blow snot rockets is no one's business. But when this person is stepping outside of the restaurant and blowing boogers onto the sidewalk before turning on heel to go back into said kitchen? That's dee-sgus-ting.

Has anyone else witnessed this?
