Patrick Stewart getting married, but not in Park Slope.

Photo credit: TIM WHITBY/GETTY IMAGES via NYDailyNews.comThe Daily News reported yesterday that Sir Ian McKellen will be officiating at the upcoming nuptials of his X-Men co-star (and Park Slope celeb), Patrick Stewart. In an interview for the Jonathan Ross Show, McKellen at first seems to let slip that the wedding will take place in Massachusetts, but then sort of corrects himself to say "in the middle of America somewhere." Why not a wedding in Park Slope, Patrick? Here are some ideas that might make you reconsider:

- Start the festivities off right with a co-ed bachelor/bachelorette party on Thursday night at The Rock Shop, with the Kings of Karaoke. (Strip clubs seem less than Shakespearean.)

- Impress your out-of-town guests and bridal party with a rehearsal dinner at Al Di La. Sure, they normally don't take reservations, but you're Professor X; you can make all kinds of crazy shit happen.

- For the main event, we're torn between the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and the Picnic House in Prospect Park. You really can't go wrong either way.

- Wrap it all up with a romantic brunch at Stone Park Cafe

The only hole in the plan is where to spend your wedding night. Somehow, Hotel Le Bleu doesn't really seem to fit your vibe. If only there was a luxury hotel on the shores of the Gowanus...
