Park Slope’s Congregation Beth Elohim Included In List Of Historic Renovation Grant Finalists

The National Trust for Historic Preservation and the official credit card of Marty Scorsese have teamed up to offer historic renovation grants to over 40 institutions in New York City, one of which includes Park Slope’s own Congregation Beth Elohim. MAZEL TOV, CBE (is that ever said outside of a wedding? I was raised Catholic)!

The congregation plans to use their share of the money on repairs (the roof collapsed in 2009), and mentioned the possibility of a new stained-glass window.

$3M smackaroos will be divided among all of the recipients, which also include The Guggenheim, The High Line and The Brooklyn Public Library. The amount of money allocated will be based on votes, so if you want to vote for CBE or any of the other winners you can do so  here
