Park Slope Resident Writes Book On The Shit Show That Is Modern Day Bed Bugs

Photo by Elizabeth Graham / Via the Brooklyn Paper

Did you guys know that bed bugs were almost completely obliterated after World War II when new, strong insecticides became available? Yet like cockroaches after any Apocalypse, the little fuckers only emerged stronger, which is the indestructible species that New Yorkers seem to be battling today.

Science journalist, Slope resident and 2-time bed bug survivor Brooke Borel is writing a book on the return of New York City's #1 enemy. And if you can brave the "B word" mention, she's giving a lecture at Brooklyn Brainery in Red Hook on June 27, where hopefully she'll fill us in on any Bed Bug support groups that may exist.
