[MY FAVORITE PARK SLOPE...]: SUSHI ROLL
Photo: Eric Isaac
If I were anyone else, I would start this post with, "If I could eat sushi every day..." but, like, I kind of do. And if Park Slope came under invasion of Sushi-Snatching Extra Terrestrials, there's one roll I'd sacrifice a family member to save. That, my friends, is the J Pan Roll at Jpan Sushi.
This little slice of rice-free heaven is spicy tuna, salmon, white tuna and mango wrapped with a layer of avocado and rice pancake, with a little drizzle of the chef's special on top.
And Jesus Christ does this thing melt in your mouth like an m&m (and I swear this pick has nothing to do with the fact that I work in an industry that's made me deathly afraid of carbohydrates). Goddamn. Try this shit. If it's good enough to help me forget that the best Japanese cuisine experience I've ever had was in Williamsburg, it's worth yer $12.
Since you're going to be all, OMGZ U HAVE NO TASTE UR WRONG anyway, I might as well ask: What's your favorite roll in our fair Slope?
