[My Favorite Park Slope...]: Fries

Oh man, how much do I love everything about Bar Toto? A lot. It’s my favorite place to eat in Park Slope, and one of my favorite places to eat in the world. Their paninis are loaded with savory goodness and stacked on thick, toasted bread. Their bloody mary is reason alone for me to go on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

Above all else, though, Bar Toto’s fries are perfect. They’re like the gourmet version of the McDonald’s fries I used to love as a kid. The potatoes are hand cut, thin and fried to crispy perfection. Then they’re topped off with thick grains of salt that make the flavor explode. And they’re never greasy. Each french fry is a bite of crispy, munchy, salty carb heaven. I even wrote a haiku:

Bar Toto, thank you

For your french fries are divine,

fucking ambrosia.
